The tension between the Coppull and the Great Staughton United players grew even worse after the yellow card. Merlin Chong hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. Lee Namasivayam fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Darryl Ramachandran having to interfere. The supporters of Great Staughton United booed when Coppull was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Merlin Chong didn't get a good kick on the ball. Darryl Tuan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Coppull's zone, Darryl Tuan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Darryl Ramachandran came out of the goal and Darryl Tuan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Lee Namasivayam came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the Great Staughton United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lee Namasivayam couldn't finish the play. Darryl Ramachandran made an important save on a dangerous shot by Darryl Tuan in the 29th minute. Azli Soon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Prime Chien-Kwan having to interfere. If Lee Namasivayam had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Darryl Tuan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Darryl Tuan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Darryl Ramachandran tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Darryl Ramachandran was out of position in the 39 minute of play, and Darryl Tuan capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Darryl Tuan really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. After 42 played minutes Coppull got a freekick which was hit by Wei Xuan Singh. In the 45th minute of the match Great Staughton United got a corner. Coppull's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Zafran Hsi ran over to the corner to take the kick. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Lee Namasivayam to strike the kick off in the second half. Faiz Swee received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Darryl Ramachandran tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lee Namasivayam in the 54th minute of play forced Coppull's goalkeeper Darryl Ramachandran to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Darryl Tuan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Darryl Ramachandran showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Faiz Swee in the 57th minute of the match. Faiz Swee sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Faiz Swee had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Faiz Swee sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Coppull's Amirul Sum got a free kick in the 71st minute. If Azli Soon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Coppull's Darryl Ramachandran played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lee Namasivayam in the 81st minute of play. 83 minutes into the game, Faiz Swee cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Darryl Ramachandran was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Faris Mathews had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Darryl Ramachandran showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Faiz Swee, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. Faris Mathews fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Darryl Ramachandran having to interfere. Faris Mathews recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Azli Soon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Great Staughton United's Prime Chien-Kwan got control of the ball when Azli Soon tried to sneak it across the goal line. Great Staughton United walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
