After a rather tough play, St Johns Wood United's Lee Namasivayam got a free kick in the 2nd minute. After a rather tough play, Fancyball Club's Rudy Lee got a free kick in the 9th minute. Joel Lee took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Azam Tee, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 15 minutes into the match, Azam Tee had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Joel Lee. Fancyball Club's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Azam Tee was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. In the 19th minute Alif Kool shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amir Siong saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Darren Soon fell near the penalty area in the 19th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored St Johns Wood United's protests and gave Darren Soon a yellow card for diving instead. After 21 minutes, Lee Namasivayam mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the St Johns Wood United and the Fancyball Club players grew even worse after the yellow card. Amir Siong showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bryan Siang, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Azam Tee struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Joel Lee didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for St Johns Wood United. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Azam Tee managed to get in a good position for a shot. St Johns Wood United's supporters rose to their feet, but Azam Tee was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Joel Lee breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Azam Tee had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Shahron Hock came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the St Johns Wood United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Shahron Hock couldn't finish the play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

After a rather tough play, Fancyball Club's Shahiran Mathews got a free kick in the 52nd minute. Joel Lee took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wei Xuan Tuan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 55th match minute, Fancyball Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bineesh Lam to maneuver through the defense. Joel Lee showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jerry Leng in the 56th minute of the match. A collision led to Fancyball Club getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Bryan Siang hit a great ball. After some careless play in the Fancyball Club defense, Azam Tee kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Joel Lee. The Fancyball Club fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Joel Lee should have stopped the shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Darren Soon in the 66th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Joel Lee prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jerry Leng sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Shahron Hock recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 74 minutes into the match, St Johns Wood United's goal looked a bit too open when Alif Kool came free, but Amir Siong reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fancyball Club were awarded a corner in the 76th minute after St Johns Wood United's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Mark Chew took the corner. Rudy Shyan was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Jerry Leng recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in St Johns Wood United's zone, Amir Phua stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Amir Siong came out of the goal and Amir Phua tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Shafiq Shiong received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Joel Lee tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. St Johns Wood United's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
