Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Danial Laycock took the kick off in the first half of the match. Goldthorpe's Sajeev Chan got a good chance for a goal in the 6th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Sajeev Chan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rifki Tan having to interfere. Holton-le-Clay's Rifki Tan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sajeev Chan in the 10th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Khairul Soon in the 11th minute of play forced Holton-le-Clay's goalkeeper Rifki Tan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Holton-le-Clay's zone, Khai Seng stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rifki Tan came out of the goal and Khai Seng tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Danial Laycock struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. Lee Lee didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Holton-le-Clay. Khairul Soon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 32nd minute, Khairul Soon left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Goldthorpe fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. If Sajeev Chan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 41 minutes into the game, Goldthorpe's Khairul Soon nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rifki Tan made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. SK Hong charged in rather forcefully in the 43rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed SK Hong the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 44 played minutes Holton-le-Clay got a freekick which was hit by SK Hong. After some careless play in the Holton-le-Clay defense, Sajeev Chan kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rifki Tan. The Holton-le-Clay fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rifki Tan should have stopped the shot. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-4 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sajeev Chan made a kick off. Rifki Tan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sajeev Chan in the 54th minute of play. Nicholas Lee sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When SK Hong was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 70 minutes had been played. SK Hong kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. Gabriel Hoe could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 75th minute of the match, but Rifki Tan made a huge save. 0-5 became the score in the 78th minute when Sajeev Chan elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Sajeev Chan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rifki Tan having to interfere. In the 84th minute, Sajeev Chan fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Through an outstanding action, after 84 minutes, Rifki Tan successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Gabriel Hoe struck a weak shot in the 85th minute. Rifki Tan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Goldthorpe. Alan Hsi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lee Lee having to interfere. Sajeev Chan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rifki Tan having to interfere. In the 91st minute, Gabriel Hoe got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Goldthorpe played a much better game than Holton-le-Clay and deserved their victory. The Holton-le-Clay players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
