Alan Chong sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 13th minute, Alan Chong ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Hidayat Hoe was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. When Mujahid Hock fell near the penalty area in the 15th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Yorkshire City's protests and gave Mujahid Hock a yellow card for diving instead. In the 16th minute, Mujahid Hock hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hidayat Hoe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Khairil Seah, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. 25 minutes into the game, Yorkshire City's Merlin Namasivayam nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Steven Singh made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. In the 28th minute, Khairil Seah got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Khairil Seah struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Hidayat Hoe didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Jarrow. 38 minutes into the match, Yorkshire City's goalkeeper Hidayat Hoe had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alan Chong. After 41 minutes of play, Yorkshire City's Muhammad Ee made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Steven Singh was left in no man's land by his defense there! The referee felt a red card was in order, 45 minutes into the game, when Ang Amin put in a rough tackle. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 44th minute of the game. One of Jarrow:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Yorkshire City:s goal. The Jarrow players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Yorkshire City were winning 2-3.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Alan Chong to strike the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Yorkshire City's Mujahid Hock sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Steven Singh narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 59 minutes, Arif Hsin mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Yorkshire City and the Jarrow players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 58 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Yorkshire City! With a little luck, Jarrow's Steven Singh got control of the ball when Merlin Namasivayam tried to sneak it across the goal line. Hidayat Hoe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fariz Rajah in the 72nd minute of the match. Mujahid Hock could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 74th minute of the match, but Steven Singh made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Jarrow's Fariz Rajah got a free kick in the 74th minute. Alan Chong blasted a shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Hidayat Hoe having to make a save. Aziz Paine fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hidayat Hoe having to interfere. The Yorkshire City players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Jarrow from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
