If Zafran Vijiaratnam had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 12 minutes of play, Wellington Rams FC's Fabrizio Jeavons made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Shah Seah was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 17th minute, Juan Menarte got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Remo Duarte had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 22nd minute, Tadeo Astudillo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Zafran Vijiaratnam had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alexander Tuan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zak Lam having to interfere. Wellington Rams FC's Remo Duarte got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Remo Duarte in the 39th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Shah Seah prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The Wellington Rams FC fans' excitement grew in the 41st match minute when Wellington Rams FC's Remo Duarte looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-4.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Remo Duarte to strike the kick off in the second half. Remo Duarte fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Shah Seah having to interfere. Shah Seah made a fantastic save in the 54th minute, when Fabrizio Jeavons sent off a good shot on target. Remo Duarte had several of the Keelby United's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 56 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-5 score and a disappointed Shah Seah as he didn't even see the shot coming. 59 minutes into the game, Remo Duarte cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-6. Shah Seah was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When the match had gone on for 67 minutes, Jithu Paine took a quick shot and it went in 0-7 without a chance for Shah Seah to make any attempt to save it. In the 72nd minute, Remo Duarte ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Shah Seah was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-8. After some fancy dribbling in the 79th minute, Remo Duarte managed to get in a good position for a shot. Wellington Rams FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Remo Duarte was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Shah Seah breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Remo Duarte blasted a shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Shah Seah having to make a save. After some careless play in the Keelby United defense, Tadeo Astudillo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Shah Seah. The Keelby United fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Shah Seah should have stopped the shot. Wellington Rams FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
