Croyde's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mohammad Kool was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 12 played minutes Singapore LionsXII got a freekick which was hit by Azly Seng. The supporters of Croyde booed when Singapore LionsXII was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jerry Chan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mohammad Kool fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vygandas Legeckas having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gerard Ching during the 19th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Gerard Ching kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. In the 20thth minute of the game Mohammad Kool who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Singapore LionsXII's Vygandas Legeckas was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Wong Dryburgh made a fantastic save in the 22nd minute, when Gerard Ching sent off a good shot on target. After a defensive mix-up in Singapore LionsXII's zone, Mohammad Kool stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vygandas Legeckas came out of the goal and Mohammad Kool tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Alexander Lim blasted a shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Vygandas Legeckas having to make a save. The supporters of Croyde booed when Singapore LionsXII was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Azli Hee didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 34th minute, Mohammad Kool left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Croyde fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. When Mohammad Kool got free in front of the goal in the 41st minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Vygandas Legeckas was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Singapore LionsXII's Vygandas Legeckas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mohammad Kool in the 48th minute of play.

In the 55th minute, Anil Ee hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Mohammad Kool had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Azly Seng received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Wong Dryburgh tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 61st minute Ali Hoe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vygandas Legeckas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Wong Dryburgh showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gerard Ching, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. In the 73rd minute, Croyde's Shukrie Devan seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Shukrie Devan the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Croyde protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Shukrie Devan had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 72nd minute, one of Croyde:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Croyde. Slawomir Maziarski shot the penalty kick right outside the post. After a rather tough play, Croyde's Alexander Lim got a free kick in the 76th minute. If Azly Seng had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 80 minutes of play Singapore LionsXII's Jerry Chan was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After 81 played minutes Singapore LionsXII got a freekick which was hit by Jerry Chan. After 95 played minutes Singapore LionsXII got a freekick which was hit by Anil Ee. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fariz Tan during the 97th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Singapore LionsXII booed when Croyde was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 97 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fariz Tan didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Singapore LionsXII fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Croyde were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
