Danish Dyce fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ali Chan having to interfere. Woodley FC's Ali Chan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Darren Seng in the 18th minute of play. When Darren Seng fell near the penalty area in the 22nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Dunston's protests and gave Darren Seng a yellow card for diving instead. In the 22nd minute, Darren Seng hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alexander Choy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ali Chan having to interfere. Ali Chan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Danish Dyce in the 30th minute of the match. In the 32ndth minute of the game Danish Dyce who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Woodley FC's Ali Chan was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by SK Swee during the 39th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 39th match minute, Dunston was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by SK Swee to maneuver through the defense. Alexander Choy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ali Chan having to interfere. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

If Arif Yeo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
