Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The audience thought a goal was coming when Alexander Choy got free with Vygandas Legeckas in the 3rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ali Lim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Azly Seng in the 8th minute of play. Ali Lim took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Azly Seng, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Dunston's Danish Dyce in the 13th minute got a chance for a shot 13th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Anil Ee's late challenge caught a Dunston's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Anil Ee helped the player get up and apologised. In the 16th match minute, Singapore LionsXII was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anil Ee to maneuver through the defense. Ali Lim came out of the goal in the 19th minute to try and stop a shot by Singapore LionsXII's Gerard Ching. But to his dismay, Gerard Ching quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Alexander Choy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vygandas Legeckas having to interfere. In the 27th minute the ball was on its way in behind Dunston's goalkeeper Ali Lim, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Alexander Choy came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Dunston fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alexander Choy couldn't finish the play. Azly Seng received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Ali Lim tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Singapore LionsXII's Anil Ee got a free kick in the 43rd minute. Danish Dyce received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Vygandas Legeckas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Danish Dyce was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 47th minute. Dunston's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance.

After having played for 63 minutes, Danish Dyce managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Dunston's supporters crossed their fingers, but Danish Dyce was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Vygandas Legeckas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alexander Choy in the 70th minute of play. Danish Dyce fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vygandas Legeckas having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alexander Choy in the 77th minute of play forced Singapore LionsXII's goalkeeper Vygandas Legeckas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 86th minute, SK Swee got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Danish Dyce struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Vygandas Legeckas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Dunston. If Alexander Choy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 96thth minute of the game Danish Dyce who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Singapore LionsXII's Vygandas Legeckas was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball.
