Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Mohammad Kool took the kick off in the first half of the match. Mohammad Kool received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Gabriel Pieng tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Farhan Soon in the 14th minute of play forced Croyde's goalkeeper Wong Dryburgh to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Mohammad Kool came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the Croyde fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mohammad Kool couldn't finish the play. 21 minutes into the match, Noh Phua notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Croyde's Wong Dryburgh. Wong Dryburgh was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After some careless play in the Hillview United defense, Mohammad Kool kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gabriel Pieng. The Hillview United fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gabriel Pieng should have stopped the shot. When the match had gone on for 33 minutes, Mohammad Kool put it in 2-1 from a short distance just to the right of Gabriel Pieng. Gabriel Pieng showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mohammad Kool in the 36th minute of the match. Wong Dryburgh made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amir Siang in the 38th minute of play. 40 minutes into the match, Amir Siang had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Wong Dryburgh. Croyde's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Amir Siang was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. After having played for 43 minutes, Ali Hoe managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Croyde's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ali Hoe was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Ali Hoe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Amir Siang made the kick off in the second half. Croyde's Wong Dryburgh proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save Croyde from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Hillview United booed when Croyde was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Amir Laycock didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Croyde's Mohammad Kool in the 58th minute got a chance for a shot 58th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Hillview United's goalie prevented a goal. Fariz Tan hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. A collision led to Hillview United getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Adam Leng the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Hillview United protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Adam Leng had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 66th minute of the game. One of Hillview United:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Croyde:s goal. The referee gave Croyde a penalty, 67 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Mohammad Kool, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Hillview United's Gabriel Pieng. 3-2. When Mohammad Kool came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the Croyde fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mohammad Kool couldn't finish the play. The crowd rose to their feet as Hillview United's Shahron Hee slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Wong Dryburgh. That made the score 3-3 after 72 minutes of play. Alexander Lim sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 81st minute, Ali Hoe managed to get in a good position for a shot. Croyde's supporters rose to their feet, but Ali Hoe was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gabriel Pieng breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Mohammad Kool blasted a shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gabriel Pieng having to make a save. 88 minutes into the match, Hillview United's goal looked a bit too open when Mohammad Kool came free, but Gabriel Pieng reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Ali Hoe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Mohammad Kool's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gabriel Pieng was relentless in the 94th minute of the game. In the 98th match minute, Hillview United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Shahron Hee to maneuver through the defense. Croyde were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
