Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Asiz Seng started the match with the kick off. A collision led to Crawley getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. SK Nagasaki hit a great ball. If Asiz Seng had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Iskandar Ee didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Zafran Sim went, in the 7th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. 15 minutes into the match, 重庆1997's goal looked a bit too open when Shahron Teo came free, but Hidayat Chai reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tan Seng kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. With a little luck, Crawley's Iskandar Ee got control of the ball when Ong Tuan tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 23rd minute, Zafran Sim made a precise shot to the right of Iskandar Ee. Crawley's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Asiz Seng sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Zafran Sim came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the 重庆1997 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Zafran Sim couldn't finish the play. With a little luck, Crawley's Iskandar Ee got control of the ball when Zafran Sim tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 40th minute, Ong Tuan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 44 minutes into the match, Crawley's goal looked a bit too open when Asiz Seng came free, but Iskandar Ee reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Nicholas Teo made the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Crawley booed when 重庆1997 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Samuel Chai didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 52nd minute of the match Clive Seng shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Hidayat Chai showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Asiz Seng recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Zafran Sim came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the 重庆1997 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Zafran Sim couldn't finish the play. Zafran Sim took the ball and in the 60 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Iskandar Ee. Iskandar Ee dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. In the 63rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Crawley's goalkeeper Iskandar Ee, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Aziz Teo during the 64th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 64 played minutes Crawley got a freekick which was hit by Aziz Teo. The supporters of Crawley booed when 重庆1997 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ong Tuan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Zafran Sim sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nicholas Teo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hidayat Chai having to interfere. If Asiz Seng had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ong Tuan in the 76th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Iskandar Ee prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Nicholas Teo hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. Ong Tuan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Iskandar Ee having to interfere. After 84 minutes, Zafran Sim made it 5-0 with a short kick to the right side. Crawley's Iskandar Ee tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ong Tuan in the 93rd minute of play forced Crawley's goalkeeper Iskandar Ee to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 94 minutes, Asiz Seng managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. 重庆1997's supporters crossed their fingers, but Asiz Seng was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
