Spectators: 7961 (Terracing: 5972, Seating: 1831, VIP seats: 158) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Farhan Chandran made the kick off which started today's match. In the 4th minute, Shafiq Leng got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 5 minutes into the match, Famih Chong notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Black Banner's Mohammad Tan. Mohammad Tan was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Shafiq Leng fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mohammad Tan having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Burnham on Sea United's zone, Daniel Tan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ang Chien-Kwan came out of the goal and Daniel Tan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 16th minute Tan Ning suffered a foot injury and had to be helped off the field. 16 minutes into the game, Shahron Tian was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Black Banner's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Burnham on Sea United the free kick. Shahron Tian kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. Burnham on Sea United's Shafiq Leng managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Felix Paine in the 22 minute of the game. The audience was convinced that Famih Chong's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mohammad Tan was relentless in the 23rd minute of the game. Nicholas Gopala Pillai received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Mohammad Tan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Famih Chong managed to get in a good position for a shot. Burnham on Sea United's supporters rose to their feet, but Famih Chong was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mohammad Tan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Famih Chong came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the Burnham on Sea United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Famih Chong couldn't finish the play. Ang Chien-Kwan made a fantastic save in the 34th minute, when Iskandar Lee sent off a good shot on target. 36 minutes into the game, one of Burnham on Sea United:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. After 43 minutes, Sean Yang mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Burnham on Sea United and the Black Banner players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Black Banner booed when Burnham on Sea United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sean Yang didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ang Chien-Kwan made a fantastic save in the 46th minute, when Iskandar Lee sent off a good shot on target. Ang Chien-Kwan stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Farhan Chandran's shot from short distance in the 48th minute. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Ang Chien-Kwan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Iskandar Lee in the 56th minute of play. When Famih Chong came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the Burnham on Sea United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Famih Chong couldn't finish the play. Afiq Gopala Pillai kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. Bineesh Keng recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 74 minutes into the match, Burnham on Sea United's Famih Chong sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mohammad Tan narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Famih Chong recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 86 minutes into the match, Burnham on Sea United's goal looked a bit too open when Iskandar Lee came free, but Ang Chien-Kwan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Farhan Chandran sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Black Banner getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Shahron Tian hit a great ball. In the 92nd minute, Burnham on Sea United's Famih Chong ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Mohammad Tan. Mohammad Tan yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-3. Burnham on Sea United's Famih Chong got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Burnham on Sea United played a much better game than Black Banner and deserved their victory. The Black Banner players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
