With a little luck, Black Banner's Mohammad Tan got control of the ball when Jithu Nair tried to sneak it across the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jithu Nair in the 14th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mohammad Tan saved Black Banner from getting behind. Victor Lee's late challenge caught a Black Banner's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Victor Lee helped the player get up and apologised. Victor Lee hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. A sloppy throw-in by Rifqi Chan in the 25th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Woodlesford United's Shah Lim. In the 26th minute Shah Lim shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mohammad Tan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Jithu Nair had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jithu Nair could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 30th minute of the match, but Mohammad Tan made a huge save. When Shah Lim fell near the penalty area in the 34th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Woodlesford United's protests and gave Shah Lim a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Woodlesford United getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Shah Lim hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Farhan Chandran in the 36th minute of play forced Woodlesford United's goalkeeper Ong Low to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Farhan Chandran was the one to do the kick off. Iskandar Lee fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ong Low having to interfere. If Darren Butcher had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The audience was convinced that Jithu Nair's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mohammad Tan was relentless in the 60th minute of the game. Jithu Nair took the ball and in the 62 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mohammad Tan. Mohammad Tan dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Alex Nagasaki fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mohammad Tan having to interfere. The Woodlesford United fans' excitement grew in the 71st match minute when Woodlesford United's Jithu Nair looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Zak Yeo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Mohammad Tan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Woodlesford United's Jithu Nair in the 77th minute got a chance for a shot 77th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Alex Nagasaki managed to get in a good position for a shot. Woodlesford United's supporters rose to their feet, but Alex Nagasaki was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mohammad Tan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 83rd minute of the match Woodlesford United got a corner. Black Banner's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Alex Nagasaki ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Woodlesford United's corner Alex Nagasaki fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Mohammad Tan quite easily take care of the ball. After 85 minutes, Jithu Nair mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Woodlesford United and the Black Banner players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Black Banner booed when Woodlesford United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jithu Nair didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jithu Nair in the 91st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mohammad Tan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Jithu Nair had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Shah Lim came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Woodlesford United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Shah Lim couldn't finish the play. Woodlesford United's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
