Spectators: 6841 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1841, VIP seats: 0) After 10 played minutes Crawley got a freekick which was hit by Lee Namasivayam. 11 minutes into the match, Alam Abisheganaden had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Iskandar Ee. Crawley's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alam Abisheganaden was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. If Nicholas Teo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Crawley's Iskandar Ee played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alam Abisheganaden in the 19th minute of play. Nicholas Teo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hafriz Hock read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 21st minute of play. Alam Abisheganaden sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 27 played minutes Crawley got a freekick which was hit by SK Nagasaki. After a defensive mix-up in Crawley's zone, Alam Abisheganaden stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Iskandar Ee came out of the goal and Alam Abisheganaden tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Shahron Teo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hafriz Hock having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Serangoon Lions's Gerard Kang got a free kick in the 30th minute. Nicholas Teo struck a weak shot in the 32nd minute. Hafriz Hock didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Crawley. Alam Abisheganaden received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Iskandar Ee tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 41 minutes into the match, Danial Chong had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Iskandar Ee. Crawley's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Danial Chong was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alam Abisheganaden in the 45th minute of play forced Crawley's goalkeeper Iskandar Ee to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nicholas Tee received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Iskandar Ee tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Nicholas Tee to strike the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, Crawley's goal looked a bit too open when Nicholas Tee came free, but Iskandar Ee reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alam Abisheganaden recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Nicholas Tees short, quick shot in the 55thth minute got Iskandar Ee to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Iskandar Ee stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nicholas Tee's shot from short distance in the 63rd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Crawley's zone, Nicholas Tee stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Iskandar Ee came out of the goal and Nicholas Tee tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Nicholas Tee's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Iskandar Ee read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 68th minute of play. In the 70th minute, Nicholas Tee got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Alam Abisheganaden recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a little luck, Crawley's Iskandar Ee got control of the ball when Alam Abisheganaden tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 78 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Serangoon Lions! In the 81st minute there was a penalty for Crawley. Wei Xuan Pillai stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Hafriz Hock. 1-3. After having played for 87 minutes, Alam Abisheganaden managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Serangoon Lions's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alam Abisheganaden was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Alam Abisheganaden came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Serangoon Lions fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alam Abisheganaden couldn't finish the play. Lee Au received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Iskandar Ee tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alam Abisheganaden sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 98 minutes into the game, Gerard Kang recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Iskandar Ee. Gerard Kang showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-4. Serangoon Lions played a much better game than Crawley and deserved their victory. The Crawley players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
