Zafran Sim received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Haziq Boon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 10th minute, Zafran Sim left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The 重庆1997 fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Haziq Boon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tan Seng, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. Asiz Seng received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Haziq Boon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Wei Xuan Low fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hidayat Chai having to interfere. Hidayat Chai made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Faris Hoe in the 23rd minute of play. 重庆1997's Tan Seng got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Asiz Seng sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Haziq Boon made an important save on a dangerous shot by Zafran Sim in the 40th minute. Faris Hoe's late challenge caught a 重庆1997's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Faris Hoe helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Mighty Wolves United FC's Faris Hoe got a free kick in the 41st minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Zafran Sim got free with Haziq Boon in the 43rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 44 minutes into the match, Mighty Wolves United FC's goalkeeper Haziq Boon had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Zafran Sim. 重庆1997's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Asiz Seng in the 45th minute. A nice corner shot did that Asiz Seng got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Haziq Boon quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Asiz Seng was the one to do the kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Shah Sim during the 53rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to 重庆1997 getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Joel Chian hit a great ball. Haziq Boon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Asiz Seng in the 60th minute of play. If Samuel Chai had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mighty Wolves United FC's Haziq Boon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Asiz Seng in the 69th minute of play. In the 71st minute, Ong Tuan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Haziq Boon stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Zafran Sim's shot from short distance in the 72nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wei Xuan Low in the 74th minute of play forced 重庆1997's goalkeeper Hidayat Chai to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 76 minutes into the game, Sajeev Peng was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. 重庆1997's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mighty Wolves United FC the free kick. After a rather tough play, 重庆1997's Sajeev Peng got a free kick in the 76th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Zafran Sim in the 79th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Haziq Boon prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Haziq Boon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Asiz Seng, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 88 minutes into the match, Mighty Wolves United FC's goal looked a bit too open when Tan Seng came free, but Haziq Boon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 90 played minutes 重庆1997 got a freekick which was hit by Ong Tuan. Ong Tuan kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. In the 95th minute, Jerry Chandran sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and 重庆1997's Hidayat Chai didn't even have to move. 重庆1997 walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
