The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 6th minute of the game. One of 重庆1997:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Royal Gunners FC:s goal. Shah Hsin shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. Wei Xuan Namasivayam fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hidayat Chai having to interfere. Hidayat Chai didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 11th minute, which inside left pole to 1-0. In the 15th minute Anil Shyan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hidayat Chai saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Royal Gunners FC booed when 重庆1997 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zafran Sim didn't get a good kick on the ball. Shah Hsin charged in rather forcefully in the 17th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Shah Hsin the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 17th minute of the game. The crowd rose to their feet as Sarb Hongyi kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Hidayat Chai. That made the score 2-1 in the 26 minute of play. Hidayat Chai was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Faiz Liang showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-1 in the 30 minute of play. Shah Hsin kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. Anil Shyan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hidayat Chai having to interfere. 40 minutes into the match, 重庆1997's goalkeeper Hidayat Chai had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Faiz Liang. Hidayat Chai made a fantastic save in the 41st minute, when Sarb Hongyi sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, 重庆1997's Ong Tuan got a free kick in the 42nd minute. Sarb Hongyi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hidayat Chai having to interfere. When Anil Shyan came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Royal Gunners FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Anil Shyan couldn't finish the play. Faiz Liang fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hidayat Chai having to interfere.
The wind increased when Anil Shyan made the kick off in the second half. Wei Xuan Namasivayam received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Hidayat Chai tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Sarb Hongyi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hidayat Chai was relentless in the 55th minute of the game. In the 56th minute Anil Shyan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hidayat Chai saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, 重庆1997's Tan Seng got a free kick in the 59th minute. After 60 minutes of play, Royal Gunners FC's Faiz Liang made it 4-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Hidayat Chai was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 64th minute Faiz Liang shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hidayat Chai saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sarb Hongyi in the 65th minute of play forced 重庆1997's goalkeeper Hidayat Chai to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hidayat Chai showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anil Shyan in the 68th minute of the match. 72 minutes into the match, 重庆1997's goal looked a bit too open when Sarb Hongyi came free, but Hidayat Chai reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Sarb Hongyi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 79 minutes into the game, Faiz Liang cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-1. Hidayat Chai was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 83rd minute, Anil Shyan made a precise shot to the right of Hidayat Chai. 重庆1997's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-1. Sarb Hongyi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 88 minutes, Anil Shyan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Royal Gunners FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Anil Shyan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 89th minute, Ong Tuan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 重庆1997's Hidayat Chai played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Faiz Liang in the 91st minute of play. Hidayat Chai showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anil Shyan, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. 重庆1997's Hidayat Chai played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Faiz Liang in the 95th minute of play. In the 96th minute Anil Shyan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hidayat Chai saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Royal Gunners FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
