In the 3rd minute Faris Politiek shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Haziq Boon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Farhan Liang fell near the penalty area in the 8th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Alwinton United's protests and gave Farhan Liang a yellow card for diving instead. 9 minutes into the match, Jerry Chandran notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Alwinton United's Azli Gopala Pillai. Azli Gopala Pillai was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Azli Cheng had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 18 minutes, Prime Devan mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Mighty Wolves United FC and the Alwinton United players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 18 played minutes Mighty Wolves United FC got a freekick which was hit by Prime Devan. Wei Xuan Low received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Azli Gopala Pillai tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Azli Cheng had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Azli Gopala Pillai was a little too slow when Wei Xuan Low got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 25th minute. The score was now 2-0. Haziq Boon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Faris Politiek, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Haziq Boon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gara Sum in the 35th minute of play. Azli Cheng sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 41st minute, Azli Cheng reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Azli Gopala Pillai. The goal made the score 3-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Faris Politiek made a kick off. Azli Cheng fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Azli Gopala Pillai having to interfere. When Gara Sum came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the Alwinton United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gara Sum couldn't finish the play. When Prime Devan was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 60 minutes had been played. Gara Sum in the 62ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Haziq Boon, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Faris Politiek received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Haziq Boon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alwinton United's Azli Gopala Pillai played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Faris Hoe in the 74th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Azli Cheng in the 77th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Azli Gopala Pillai prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Gara Sum sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Faris Politiek received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Haziq Boon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee gave Mighty Wolves United FC a penalty, 87 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Jerry Chandran, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Alwinton United's Azli Gopala Pillai. 4-0. Alwinton United's Rifki Nair got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
