Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) 重庆1997's Asiz Seng started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to Serangoon Lions getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. Lee Au hit a great ball. The crowd rose to their feet as 重庆1997's Asiz Seng slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Hafriz Hock. That made the score 1-0 after 4 minutes of play. In the 11th minute, Lee Au hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 13 minutes into the match, 重庆1997's Zafran Sim sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Hafriz Hock narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Alam Abisheganaden had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hidayat Chai came out of the goal in the 16th minute to try and stop a shot by Serangoon Lions's Gerard Kang. But to his dismay, Gerard Kang quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Azli Tan's late challenge caught a 重庆1997's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Azli Tan helped the player get up and apologised. Ong Tuan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some careless play in the Serangoon Lions defense, Zafran Sim kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Hafriz Hock. The Serangoon Lions fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Hafriz Hock should have stopped the shot. In the 29th minute Gerard Kang shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hidayat Chai saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hidayat Chai showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nicholas Tee, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Samuel Ching charged in rather forcefully in the 35th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Samuel Ching the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Alam Abisheganaden received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Hidayat Chai tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 38 minutes into the match, 重庆1997's goal looked a bit too open when Nicholas Tee came free, but Hidayat Chai reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 39th minute Alam Abisheganaden shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hidayat Chai saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Asiz Seng came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the 重庆1997 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Asiz Seng couldn't finish the play. Hafriz Hock was a little too slow when Asiz Seng got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 45th minute. The score was now 3-1. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-1.

53 minutes into the match, 重庆1997's goalkeeper Hidayat Chai had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alam Abisheganaden. In the 57th minute, Serangoon Lions's Gerard Kang ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Hidayat Chai. Hidayat Chai yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-2. In the 61st minute Nicholas Tee shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hidayat Chai saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gerard Kang in the 62nd minute of play forced 重庆1997's goalkeeper Hidayat Chai to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Shahiran Siang tried to clear up in front of the goal, but didn't succeed and rather the ball rolled into the own goal to the right of a despaired Hafriz Hock. An unnecessary self made goal, 4-2 in the 68th minute. In the 70th minute, Gerard Kang hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ong Tuan in the 71st minute of play forced Serangoon Lions's goalkeeper Hafriz Hock to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Asiz Seng's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hafriz Hock was relentless in the 74th minute of the game. If Nicholas Tee had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gerard Kang got free with Hidayat Chai in the 78th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 80 minutes of play, Serangoon Lions's Alam Abisheganaden made it 4-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Hidayat Chai was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Alam Abisheganaden came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Serangoon Lions fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alam Abisheganaden couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, 重庆1997's Tan Seng got a free kick in the 86th minute. Hidayat Chai made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alam Abisheganaden in the 88th minute. A collision led to 重庆1997 getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Samuel Chai hit a great ball. Alam Abisheganaden could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 91st minute of the match, but Hidayat Chai made a huge save. 重庆1997's defense didn't have a chance, in the 93rd minute, when Nicholas Tee scored to the left of an out of position Hidayat Chai, making the score, 4-4. With a little luck, 重庆1997's Hidayat Chai got control of the ball when Alam Abisheganaden tried to sneak it across the goal line.
