Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Sharizan Butcher took the kick off in the first half of the match. 6 minutes into the match, Stannington AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Sharizan Butcher came free, but Zafran Ching reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Stannington AFC's Khairil Lee got a good chance for a goal in the 8th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 13th minute Shahron Dhanabalan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Steven Politiek saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 25 minutes into the match, Davehuat United's goal looked a bit too open when Shahron Dhanabalan came free, but Steven Politiek reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Stannington AFC's Khairil Lee got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Shahron Dhanabalan might have been able to make a better finish in the 36th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Steven Politiek. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Shahron Dhanabalan ran back to his position shaking his head. Sharizan Butcher recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a little luck, Davehuat United's Steven Politiek got control of the ball when Khairil Lee tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 42 minutes, Danish Ramachandran mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Davehuat United and the Stannington AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. An unexpectedly hard shot by Shahron Dhanabalan in the 43rd minute of play forced Davehuat United's goalkeeper Steven Politiek to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Davehuat United's zone, Shahron Dhanabalan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Steven Politiek came out of the goal and Shahron Dhanabalan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 47th minute, Nicholas Tan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Shahron Dhanabalan was the one to do the kick off. Steven Politiek showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Shahron Dhanabalan, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. 53 minutes into the match, Stannington AFC's Shahron Dhanabalan sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Steven Politiek narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Stannington AFC's Zak Hee got a free kick in the 56th minute. 58 minutes into the match, Nicholas Tan notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Davehuat United's Steven Politiek. Steven Politiek was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Stannington AFC's Shahron Dhanabalan got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Steven Politiek stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Shahron Dhanabalan's shot from short distance in the 70th minute. In the 73rd minute Khairil Lee shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Steven Politiek saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Sharizan Butcher came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the Davehuat United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sharizan Butcher couldn't finish the play. 85 minutes into the match, Stannington AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Khairul Namasivayam came free, but Zafran Ching reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Shahron Dhanabalan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 96th minute, Khairil Lee made a precise shot to the right of Steven Politiek. Davehuat United's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. Stannington AFC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
