Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Ryan Tan made the kick off and thus started the match. Jithu Lee took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Azam Chong, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jithu Lee showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Azam Chong, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. Azam Chong sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 14 minutes into the match, Fakenham's goal looked a bit too open when Daniz Wah came free, but Nicholas Phua reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hamir Teo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Jithu Lee tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jithu Lee made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Hidayat Siang sent off a good shot on target. Jithu Lee stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Azam Chong's shot from short distance in the 20th minute. Hamir Teo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jithu Lee read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 29th minute of play. Amirul Boon thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished Jithu Lee, a very annoying self made goal in the 32nd minute which led to 1-0. 35 minutes into the game, Rudy Tuan was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ipplepen United's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Fakenham the free kick. In the 35th minute, Rudy Tuan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 38thth minute of the game Azam Chong who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ipplepen United's Jithu Lee was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 43 minutes into the game, Ronn Lam was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ipplepen United's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Fakenham the free kick. In the 43rd minute, Ronn Lam hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Azam Chong to make the kick off. In the 50th minute, Afiz Sim hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ryan Tan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 57 minutes, Shahiran Chien-Kwan mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Fakenham and the Ipplepen United players grew even worse after the yellow card. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ryan Tan in the 63rd minute of play forced Fakenham's goalkeeper Nicholas Phua to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 64th minute Azam Chong shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jithu Lee saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Ryan Tan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 69th match minute, Fakenham was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Azam Chong to maneuver through the defense. Hamir Teo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some careless play in the Ipplepen United defense, Azam Chong kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jithu Lee. The Ipplepen United fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jithu Lee should have stopped the shot. Hamir Teo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jithu Lee having to make a save. After a rather tough play, Fakenham's Shahiran Chien-Kwan got a free kick in the 80th minute. Hamir Teo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jithu Lee having to interfere. With a little luck, Fakenham's Nicholas Phua got control of the ball when Daniz Wah tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ipplepen United's Rudy Tuan got his second yellow card of the match in the 95th minute. The referee ordered Rudy Tuan off the ground. If Hamir Teo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. For all the effort they put into the match, the Ipplepen United players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Fakenham.
