The supporters of Bishop Auckland booed when Tynemouth was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Shahron Seng didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ron Ching in the 15th minute of play forced Tynemouth's goalkeeper Adam Ning to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bineesh Paine hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. Alan Phua came free with the goalkeeper in the 19th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Shahiran Politiek could save by the left post. Zack Chee received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. The referee ignored Bishop Auckland's protests and gave Lee Swee a yellow card for diving instead. In the 25th match minute, Bishop Auckland was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lee Swee to maneuver through the defense. In the 30th minute Iskandar Shiong shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adam Ning saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bishop Auckland's Shahiran Politiek proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to save Bishop Auckland from getting a goal against them. Alan Phua sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Tynemouth getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Steven Lee hit a great ball. Adam Ning made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Iskandar Shiong in the 43rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ron Ching in the 46th minute of play forced Tynemouth's goalkeeper Adam Ning to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Zack Chee to make the kick off. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Bishop Auckland reached it. Lee Swee got his second yellow card in the match during the 77th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Lee Swee hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. After 79 minutes of play, Tynemouth's Zack Chee made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Shahiran Politiek was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Zack Chee had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Hafriz Peng the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Tynemouth protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Hafriz Peng had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 91st minute of the game. One of Tynemouth:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Bishop Auckland:s goal. When the match had been going on for 94 minutes, Bishop Auckland's Shukrie Siong got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Adam Ning. Adam Ning took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mark Pillai, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Bishop Auckland booed when Tynemouth was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 98 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bryan Dryburgh didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tynemouth were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Bishop Auckland to leave the ground with a draw.
