Spectators: 6850 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1850, VIP seats: 0) Tynemouth's Zack Chee started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 4 minutes into the game, Mick Portway recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Adam Ning. Mick Portway showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. A collision led to New Milton getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Gaz Willmott hit a great ball. 7 minutes into the game, Trey Hedges was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. New Milton's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tynemouth the free kick. After 7 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for New Milton! The referee gave Tynemouth a penalty, 8 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Alan Phua, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of New Milton's Vince Sheene. 1-1. Adam Ning showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sid Blythe in the 11th minute of the match. In the 12th minute, Zack Chee got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 15thth minute of the game Alan Phua who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but New Milton's Vince Sheene was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Gaz Willmott kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. New Milton's Trey Hedges got his second yellow card of the match in the 17th minute. The referee ordered Trey Hedges off the ground. 17 minutes into the game, one of New Milton:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. New Milton:s Vince Sheene showed great skill when he stopped Alan Phua:s penalty. Vince Sheene showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alan Phua in the 25th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alan Phua in the 34th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Vince Sheene prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Alan Phua recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Vince Sheene made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zack Chee in the 36th minute of play. Vince Sheene took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zack Chee, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-3 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mick Portway to make the kick off. Zack Chee could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 56th minute of the match, but Vince Sheene made a huge save. In the 59th play minute Zack Chee came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Vince Sheene. 1-4. Zack Chee sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match clock showed 66 minutes, the score became 1-5 when Alan Phua sped through New Milton's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Vince Sheene. Mick Portway received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Adam Ning tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Zack Chee blasted a shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Vince Sheene having to make a save. New Milton's Vince Sheene played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Faizal Hee in the 85th minute of play. In the 90th minute, Bryan Dryburgh hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match was over Tynemouth could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than New Milton throughout the match.
