Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Iskandar Shiong made the kick off and thus started the match. In the 7th minute, Lee Swee hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Shahiran Politiek made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hamir Pieng in the 9th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ron Ching got free with Ali Tian in the 12th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The audience was convinced that Bakar Choo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Shahiran Politiek was relentless in the 21st minute of the game. If Iskandar Shiong had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 25 minutes into the match, Singapore Wednesday's goal looked a bit too open when Iskandar Shiong came free, but Ali Tian reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Singapore Wednesday's Bakar Choo in the 31st minute got a chance for a shot 31st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Bishop Auckland's goalie prevented a goal. In the 32nd minute Iskandar Shiong shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ali Tian saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 38th minute, Khai Hsin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpected shot in the 39th minute by Ron Ching got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 41st minute, Singapore Wednesday's John Vijiaratnam seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed John Vijiaratnam the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Singapore Wednesday protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and John Vijiaratnam had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 44th minute there was a penalty for Bishop Auckland. Shukrie Siong stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Ali Tian. 2-0. Bishop Auckland's Iskandar Shiong got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.
The wind increased when Hamir Pieng made the kick off in the second half. Lee Swee fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ali Tian having to interfere. 53 minutes into the game, Iskandar Shiong cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Ali Tian was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 57 minutes of play, Bishop Auckland's Ron Ching made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ali Tian was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a rather tough play, Bishop Auckland's Mark Pillai got a free kick in the 60th minute. Singapore Wednesday's Ali Tian played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ron Ching in the 73rd minute of play. Iskandar Shiong fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ali Tian having to interfere. Ron Ching fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ali Tian having to interfere. In the 85th minute Ron Ching shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ali Tian saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lee Swee hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. Danial Hian's late challenge caught a Bishop Auckland's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Danial Hian helped the player get up and apologised. In the 87th minute, Danial Hian hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ali Tian took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ron Ching, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
