Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Daniel Namasivayam started the match with the kick off. A hard shot 7 in the game by Zak Dhanabalan from a close distance when the talented Ali Tian managed to make a qualified save. Singapore Wednesday's players were relieved. After a defensive mix-up in Singapore Wednesday's zone, Daniel Namasivayam stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ali Tian came out of the goal and Daniel Namasivayam tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rifqi Gopala Pillai made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bakar Choo in the 13th minute of play. Ali Tian was out of position in the 18 minute of play, and Zak Dhanabalan capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Zak Dhanabalan really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. 25 minutes into the match, Singapore Wednesday's goal looked a bit too open when Zak Dhanabalan came free, but Ali Tian reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 28th minute the ball was on its way in behind Singapore Wednesday's goalkeeper Ali Tian, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 29 minutes into the match, Zak Dhanabalan notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Singapore Wednesday's Ali Tian. Ali Tian was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Pondersbridge's Rifqi Gopala Pillai played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bakar Choo in the 36th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Zak Dhanabalan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pondersbridge's supporters rose to their feet, but Zak Dhanabalan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ali Tian breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Pondersbridge's Zak Dhanabalan got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Rifqi Gopala Pillai made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hamir Pieng in the 43rd minute of play. Daniel Namasivayam recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bakar Choo to make the kick off. A collision led to Singapore Wednesday getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Danial Hian hit a great ball. Ali Tian took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zak Dhanabalan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 60th minute, Khai Hsin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Daniel Namasivayam received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Ali Tian tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bakar Choo came free with the goalkeeper in the 66th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Rifqi Gopala Pillai could save by the left post. Ali Tian took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zak Dhanabalan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Pondersbridge's Rifqi Gopala Pillai got control of the ball when Bakar Choo tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Pondersbridge's Zak Dhanabalan in the 74th minute got a chance for a shot 74th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Hamir Pieng blasted a shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rifqi Gopala Pillai having to make a save. 84 minutes into the match, Singapore Wednesday's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Namasivayam came free, but Ali Tian reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ali Tian took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Namasivayam, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 86th minute, Hamir Pieng got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Zak Dhanabalan might have been able to make a better finish in the 87th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ali Tian. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Zak Dhanabalan ran back to his position shaking his head. Daniel Namasivayam received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Ali Tian tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 89th minute of the match, Bakar Choo got a very nice opportunity to score, but Rifqi Gopala Pillai was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 90th minute, Wei Xuan Dryburgh hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 94 minutes into the match, Singapore Wednesday's Bakar Choo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rifqi Gopala Pillai narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Zak Dhanabalan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ali Tian having to interfere. Pondersbridge's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
