Adam Ning showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jonathan Swee, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Iskandar Rajah got free with Adam Ning in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Faizal Hee had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Fariz Gopala Pillai didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Zack Chee went, in the 22nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. 35 minutes into the match, MirellasBar N.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Zack Chee came free, but Fariz Gopala Pillai reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Zack Chee had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Azli Soon charged in rather forcefully in the 41st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Azli Soon the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 41st minute, Azli Soon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Albert Phua hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jonathan Swee to strike the kick off in the second half. After having played for 55 minutes, Faizal Hee managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tynemouth's supporters crossed their fingers, but Faizal Hee was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Tynemouth's Zack Chee got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. MirellasBar N.C.'s Fariz Gopala Pillai proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 64th minute of the match, managed to save MirellasBar N.C. from getting a goal against them. In the 65th minute, Alan Phua got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 67th minute, Tynemouth's Zack Chee ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Fariz Gopala Pillai. Fariz Gopala Pillai yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-3. Zack Chee sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Bryan Dryburgh came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the Tynemouth fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bryan Dryburgh couldn't finish the play.
