Goldboys FC's Mujahid Lee played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bakar Choo in the 25th minute of play. Ali Tian tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 40th minute, Azli Devan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After recieving a nice pass, Goldboys FC's Zak Siong tried to score from far away in the 41st minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Singapore Wednesday's Khai Hsin got a free kick in the 43rd minute. Jonathan Seng's late challenge caught a Singapore Wednesday's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jonathan Seng helped the player get up and apologised. In the 46th minute of the match Hidayat Lam sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Mujahid Lee skillfully saved the ball. After 47 minutes of play Goldboys FC's Jonathan Seng was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Bakar Choo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Goldboys FC getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Ron Wenyong hit a great ball. 57 minutes into the game, John Vijiaratnam was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Singapore Wednesday's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Goldboys FC the free kick. Goldboys FC were furious when Zak Siong was red carded, 75 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. 75 minutes into the game, one of Goldboys FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 86th minute, Bakar Choo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Singapore Wednesday fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-4. Mujahid Lee showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hamir Pieng in the 89th minute of the match. With his leg Mujahid Lee managed to avoid a goal in the 94thth minute, when Singapore Wednesday's Bakar Choo fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 96 minutes into the match, Goldboys FC's goalkeeper Mujahid Lee had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bakar Choo. Ron Wenyong sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal.
