To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 16th minute, Ryan Dhanabalan left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Arsenal FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. In the 24th minute, Gara Chong made a precise shot to the right of Sean Phua. Codicote United's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ryan Dhanabalan to make the kick off. Sean Phua took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bineesh Hoe, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 54 played minutes Arsenal FC got a freekick which was hit by Darryl Yi-Sheng. Steven Chan stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Famih Hian's shot from short distance in the 57th minute. Steven Chan didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Codicote United's Sean Lee shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 3-4 in the ordered_time% minute. Sean Phua showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ryan Dhanabalan in the 61st minute of the match. In the 66th minute, Sean Lee got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 70 minutes into the game, Ryan Dhanabalan cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-5. Sean Phua was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Steven Chan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Shahron Pillai in the 73rd minute of play. After some careless play in the Arsenal FC defense, Anil Pillai kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Steven Chan. The Arsenal FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Steven Chan should have stopped the shot. 5-5 became the score in the 80th minute when Shahron Pillai elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Codicote United's Shahron Pillai got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 89 minutes of play, Codicote United's Famih Hian made it 6-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Steven Chan was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 95th minute the ball was on its way in behind Arsenal FC's goalkeeper Steven Chan, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.
