The wind increased when Amirul Namasivayam made the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Arsenal FC's goalkeeper Steven Chan, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 53 played minutes Arsenal FC got a freekick which was hit by Alan Hui. If Sajeev Chee had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Arsenal FC's Ryan Dhanabalan got a free kick in the 57th minute. In the 58thth minute of the game Sajeev Chee who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Arsenal FC's Steven Chan was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 59th match minute, Arsenal FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gara Chong to maneuver through the defense. In the 62nd minute, Sajeev Chee left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ashburton AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Sajeev Chee received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Steven Chan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Steven Chan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Amirul Namasivayam, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sajeev Chee sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alan Hui charged in rather forcefully in the 71st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Amirul Namasivayam in the 79th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Steven Chan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Arsenal FC's Steven Chan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sajeev Chee in the 83rd minute of play. When Ashburton AFC's Azam Pillai in the 84th minute got a chance for a shot 84th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie.
