Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. John Koh started the match with the kick off. Asiz Wenyong made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sean Lee in the 4th minute of play. When Shahron Pillai came up free with the goalie in the 6th minute, the Codicote United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Shahron Pillai couldn't finish the play. Sean Lee fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Asiz Wenyong having to interfere. After having played for 10 minutes, Shahron Pillai managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Codicote United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Shahron Pillai was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Asiz Wenyong made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Famih Hian in the 12th minute of play. 14 minutes into the match, John Koh notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Codicote United's Sean Phua. Sean Phua was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Anil Pillai charged in rather forcefully in the 19th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Anil Pillai the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Codicote United getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Anil Pillai hit a great ball. After 23 minutes, Shahron Pillai mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Codicote United and the Millbrook AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Millbrook AFC booed when Codicote United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Shahron Pillai didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Codicote United's Anil Pillai got a free kick in the 26th minute. Millbrook AFC's Asiz Wenyong proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to save Millbrook AFC from getting a goal against them. In the last second Asiz Wenyong throw himself and got hold of the ball when Shahron Pillai in the 33rdth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. When Alif Namasivayam fell near the penalty area in the 36th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Millbrook AFC's protests and gave Alif Namasivayam a yellow card for diving instead. Alif Namasivayam hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, Famih Hian managed to get in a good position for a shot. Codicote United's supporters rose to their feet, but Famih Hian was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Asiz Wenyong breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 43 minutes into the match, Codicote United's goal looked a bit too open when Danial Laycock came free, but Sean Phua reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If John Koh had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half Millbrook AFC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Shahron Pillai made a kick off. Asiz Wenyong took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Shahron Pillai, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Danial Laycock sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 58 played minutes Codicote United got a freekick which was hit by Jonathan Swee. With a little luck, Codicote United's Sean Phua got control of the ball when Amirul Seng tried to sneak it across the goal line. Asiz Wenyong showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anil Pillai in the 61st minute of the match. Amirul Seng kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. Codicote United were awarded a corner in the 65th minute after Millbrook AFC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Sean Lee took the corner. If Danial Laycock had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Danial Laycock sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 72 minutes into the match, Anil Pillai had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Asiz Wenyong. Millbrook AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Anil Pillai was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Famih Hian kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 84th minute, Shahron Pillai managed to get in a good position for a shot. Codicote United's supporters rose to their feet, but Shahron Pillai was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Asiz Wenyong breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ryan Lee recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Asiz Wenyong made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Famih Hian in the 91st minute of play. Famih Hian fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Asiz Wenyong having to interfere. The Codicote United manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Millbrook AFC to win.
