Spectators: 8020 (Terracing: 6017, Seating: 1844, VIP seats: 159) Archway United's Shahiran Wenyong got a good chance for a goal in the 6th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Archway United's Amir Chuan in the 7th minute got a chance for a shot 7th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Standish AFC's goalie prevented a goal. In the 9th minute, Rifki Seah left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Standish AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Muhammad Hoe's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Azam Seng read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 14th minute of play. Archway United's Azam Seng proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 15th minute of the match, managed to save Archway United from getting a goal against them. Anil Koh fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Azam Seng having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Anil Gopala Pillai during the 17th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Anil Gopala Pillai hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Sean Liang made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amir Chuan in the 22nd minute of play. In the 23rd minute, Amir Chuan made a precise shot to the right of Sean Liang. Standish AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Muhammad Hoe in the 28th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Azam Seng saved Archway United from getting behind. Sean Liang made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amir Chuan in the 30th minute of play. 32 minutes into the game, Amir Chuan cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Sean Liang was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 36th minute Amir Chuan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sean Liang saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 38th minute, Amir Chuan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Archway United's supporters rose to their feet, but Amir Chuan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sean Liang breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Shahiran Wenyong in the 39th minute of play forced Standish AFC's goalkeeper Sean Liang to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Archway United's Azam Seng got control of the ball when Rifki Seah tried to sneak it across the goal line. Standish AFC's Sean Liang played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Amir Chuan in the 44th minute of play. In the 46th minute of the match Anil Gopala Pillai shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Sean Liang showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Archway United's Shahron Ramachandran got a free kick in the 47th minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Muhammad Hoe was the one to do the kick off. 54 minutes into the game, Muhammad Hoe cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Azam Seng was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 56 played minutes Archway United got a freekick which was hit by Sajeev Sum. Standish AFC's Danial Cheng got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 60th match minute, Archway United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anil Gopala Pillai to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Archway United getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Shahron Ramachandran hit a great ball. In the 63rd minute of the match Danial Cheng sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Azam Seng skillfully saved the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sarb Devan during the 65th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Standish AFC booed when Archway United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sarb Devan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sean Liang made an important save on a dangerous shot by Amir Chuan in the 70th minute. Amir Chuan blasted a shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Sean Liang having to make a save. Sarb Devan kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. In the 91st minute, Standish AFC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Shahiran Wenyong fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Amir Chuan's late challenge caught a Standish AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Amir Chuan helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Archway United getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Amir Chuan hit a great ball.
