Swadlincote's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. If Bryan Chong had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bryan Chong in the 32nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lee Boon saved Lion from getting behind. Afiz Hsi who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 36thth minute tested the skills of Lee Boon when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Lee Boon made an important save on a dangerous shot by Afiz Hsi in the 37th minute. In the 68thth minute of the game Afiz Hsi who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lion's Lee Boon was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Wong Teo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wei Xuan Chai, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Bakar Ching had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Zak Nagasaki hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. Rudy Chien-Kwan hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. A collision led to Lion getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Bakar Ching hit a great ball. In the 82nd minute, Bakar Ching got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Bakar Ching struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Wong Teo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lion. Wei Xuan Chai sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
