Tan Soon hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. In the 6th minute, Clive Ramachandran got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 8th minute Clive Ramachandran shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marco Saldanha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ron Soon's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 10thth minute, Lamar Yip skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After a rather tough play, Red Stags F.C.'s Clive Ramachandran got a free kick in the 12th minute. Ron Soon had several of the Red Stags F.C.'s defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 45 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 4-0 score and a disappointed Lamar Yip as he didn't even see the shot coming. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Shahiran Ramachandran to strike the kick off in the second half. Alois Hořava struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Lamar Yip didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Fordham. If Alois Hořava had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Azam Hsi in the 59th minute of play forced Red Stags F.C.'s goalkeeper Lamar Yip to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lamar Yip made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Azam Hsi in the 59th minute of play. After having played for 62 minutes, Alois Hořava managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fordham's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alois Hořava was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Shahiran Ramachandran could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 66th minute of the match, but Marco Saldanha made a huge save. Lamar Yip didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Fordham's Azam Hsi shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 5-0 in the ordered_time% minute. When Lee Hee came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the Red Stags F.C. fans jumped to their feet. The audience was convinced that Azam Hsi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Lamar Yip was relentless in the 88th minute of the game. Alois Hořava's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lamar Yip read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 91st minute of play. Alois Hořava hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Azam Hsi in the 95th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lamar Yip saved Red Stags F.C. from getting behind. There was no doubt that Fordham were the better team. Fordham's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
