Spectators: 7543 (Terracing: 5888, Seating: 1555, VIP seats: 100) Wong Teo came out of the goal in the 3rd minute to try and stop a shot by Fordham's Ron Soon. But to his dismay, Ron Soon quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. The crowd rose to their feet as Swadlincote's Rudy Chien-Kwan slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Marco Saldanha. That made the score 1-1 after 7 minutes of play. If Alois Hořava had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Wong Teo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rifqi Wah in the 21st minute of the match. Swadlincote's Wong Teo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ron Soon in the 23rd minute of play. Afiz Hsi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 26th minute of the match, but Marco Saldanha made a huge save. Bryan Chong hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. Wong Teo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ron Soon, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Afiz Hsi kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. Alois Hořava fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wong Teo having to interfere. In the 37thth minute of the game Ron Soon who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Swadlincote's Wong Teo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A collision led to Swadlincote getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Bryan Chong hit a great ball. Amir Soon charged in rather forcefully in the 42nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Amir Soon the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Swadlincote getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Amir Soon hit a great ball. Rifqi Wah sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rifqi Wah fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wong Teo having to interfere. Rudy Chien-Kwan charged in rather forcefully in the 48th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rudy Chien-Kwan the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Rudy Chien-Kwan hit a great freekick 48 minutes into the match. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ron Soon to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd match minute, Swadlincote was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jerry Teo to maneuver through the defense. 55 minutes into the match, Swadlincote's goal looked a bit too open when Alois Hořava came free, but Wong Teo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 59 minutes Fordham's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Amir Liang who took care of the corner kick. Swadlincote's Amir Liang was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Marco Saldanha in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Wong Teo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rifki Low, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Fordham booed when Swadlincote was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Afiz Hsi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Wong Teo was a little too slow when Ron Soon got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 63rd minute. The score was now 1-2. Fordham's Azam Hsi was substituted for Ron Soon. In the 70th minute Amir Soon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marco Saldanha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 70th minute, Rifki Low hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rudy Chien-Kwan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Swadlincote's zone, Alois Hořava stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Wong Teo came out of the goal and Alois Hořava tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Rudy Chien-Kwan was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 86 minutes had been played. In the 87th minute, Rudy Chien-Kwan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Swadlincote's zone, Azam Hsi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Wong Teo came out of the goal and Azam Hsi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Azam Hsi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Wong Teo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Alois Hořava had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When the match was over Fordham could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Swadlincote throughout the match.
