Lamar Henderson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Azam Shiong having to interfere. Azam Shiong made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lamar Henderson in the 11th minute. Darren Chew received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Gara Soon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Tan Chuan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Windlesham's Darren Chew got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Windlesham's zone, Tan Chuan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Azam Shiong came out of the goal and Tan Chuan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Noh Ching charged in rather forcefully in the 23rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Noh Ching the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Noh Ching kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. Tan Chuan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lamar Henderson struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. Azam Shiong didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Newcastle-upon-Tyne. Nicholas Chew hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. 32 minutes into the match, Newcastle-upon-Tyne's goal looked a bit too open when Darren Chew came free, but Gara Soon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Newcastle-upon-Tyne's zone, Darren Chew stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gara Soon came out of the goal and Darren Chew tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 37th minute Tan Chuan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Azam Shiong saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Azam Shiong made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tan Chuan in the 40th minute of play. Tan Chuan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Lamar Henderson might have been able to make a better finish in the 47th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Azam Shiong. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Lamar Henderson ran back to his position shaking his head. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

52 minutes into the match, Windlesham's goal looked a bit too open when Lamar Henderson came free, but Azam Shiong reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 56th minute the ball was on its way in behind Newcastle-upon-Tyne's goalkeeper Gara Soon, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Lamar Henderson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Azam Shiong tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lamar Henderson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Azam Shiong read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 64th minute of play. In the 73rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Windlesham's goalkeeper Azam Shiong, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 75 minutes into the match, Tan Chuan notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Windlesham's Azam Shiong. Azam Shiong was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Faizal Hoe kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. Gara Soon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Darren Chew in the 80th minute of the match. In the 81st minute Lamar Henderson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Azam Shiong saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tan Chuan in the 87th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Azam Shiong saved Windlesham from getting behind. 88 minutes into the match, Windlesham's goal looked a bit too open when Lamar Henderson came free, but Azam Shiong reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tan Chuan in the 93rd minute of play forced Windlesham's goalkeeper Azam Shiong to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tan Chuan scored 3-0 in the 96th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Azam Shiong, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Newcastle-upon-Tyne had played much better football throughout.
