After having played for 5 minutes, Azli Pieng managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Wynem's supporters crossed their fingers, but Azli Pieng was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 11 played minutes West Bromwich got a freekick which was hit by Ryan Ee. In the 12th minute, Farhan Ching sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and West Bromwich's Azly Hong didn't even have to move. If Fariz Tioe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 21 minutes into the game, Fariz Tioe recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Azly Hong. Fariz Tioe showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. If Fariz Tioe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Bakar Hee managed to get in a good position for a shot. Wynem's supporters rose to their feet, but Bakar Hee was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Azly Hong breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bakar Hee got free with Azly Hong in the 35th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Bakar Hee had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Azly Hong made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fariz Tioe in the 41st minute of play. In the 42nd match minute, West Bromwich was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alam Seng to maneuver through the defense. SK Chian kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Wynem's Muhammad Abdul played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hamir Tee in the 57th minute of play. In the 61st minute, Farhan Ching hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hamir Tee sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fariz Tioe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Azly Hong tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Azly Hong took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bakar Hee, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fariz Tioe struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. Azly Hong didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Wynem. Bakar Hee fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Azly Hong having to interfere. 87 minutes into the match, Fariz Tioe notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of West Bromwich's Azly Hong.
