If Danny Newlyn had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Danny Newlyn in the 23rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Azam Shiong prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Azam Shiong showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vince Mayall, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Danny Newlyn in the 26th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Azam Shiong prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 27 minutes into the match, Pirton AFC's Vince Mayall sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Azam Shiong narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Darren Chew recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Vince Mayall received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Azam Shiong tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Vince Mayall came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Pirton AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vince Mayall couldn't finish the play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Asiz Tee during the 42nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The referee gave Pirton AFC a penalty, 44 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Victor Ruddock, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Windlesham's Azam Shiong. 0-1. Danny Newlyn struck a weak shot in the 48th minute. Azam Shiong didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pirton AFC. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Darren Chew made the kick off in the second half. Windlesham's Azam Shiong played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Danny Newlyn in the 54th minute of play. When Jordan Lightfoot fell near the penalty area in the 55th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Pirton AFC's protests and gave Jordan Lightfoot a yellow card for diving instead. Khairul Laycock fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Donny Butterfield having to interfere. In the 60th minute, Darren Chew got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 65 played minutes Windlesham got a freekick which was hit by Alif Amin. Pirton AFC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Victor Ruddock in the 67th minute. In the 69th minute Pirton AFC were awarded a corner. Victor Ruddock went to the cornerflag to take it. A well-hit corner resulted in Joshua Osbourne heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. After having played for 71 minutes, Danny Newlyn managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pirton AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Danny Newlyn was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Windlesham's Khairul Laycock got a free kick in the 72nd minute. Darren Chew sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 79th minute, Danny Newlyn reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Azam Shiong. The goal made the score 0-2. After having played for 85 minutes, Danny Newlyn managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pirton AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Danny Newlyn was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Phillip Porter had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Azam Shiong made a fantastic save in the 90th minute, when Vince Mayall sent off a good shot on target. Darren Chew struck a weak shot in the 96th minute. Donny Butterfield didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Windlesham. The Windlesham supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Pirton AFC's performance. The match ended with a win for Pirton AFC.
