Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Darren Shiong started the match with the kick off. Yatton United were furious when Felix Koh was red carded, 5 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 5th minute, one of Yatton United:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Yatton United. Hidayat Nair showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Felix Soon in the 12th minute of the match. In the 14th minute Joel Tian shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hidayat Nair saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 17th minute, Felix Soon left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ross on Wye fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Darren Shiong kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. After 22 played minutes, Ross on Wye's Sajeev Laycock shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Hidayat Nair came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Ross on Wye reached it. Afriz Tan hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. After recieving a nice pass, Ross on Wye's Sajeev Laycock tried to score from far away in the 29th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. 30 minutes into the game, Shah Chian was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Yatton United's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ross on Wye the free kick. A collision led to Yatton United getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Shah Chian hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Faiz Seng in the 32nd minute of play forced Yatton United's goalkeeper Hidayat Nair to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Afriz Tan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Firdauz Paine tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Faiz Seng had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hidayat Nair showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Felix Soon, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Felix Soon stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Arif Seah might have been able to make a better finish in the 53rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Firdauz Paine. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Arif Seah ran back to his position shaking his head. The supporters of Yatton United booed when Ross on Wye was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joel Tian didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 54th minute of the match Alif Sum sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Firdauz Paine skillfully saved the ball. In the 55th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ross on Wye's goalkeeper Firdauz Paine, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Arif Seah might have been able to make a better finish in the 59th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Firdauz Paine. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Arif Seah ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 67th minute, Faiz Seng got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 70th minute, Arif Seah got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Yatton United's zone, Felix Soon stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hidayat Nair came out of the goal and Felix Soon tried to chip the ball over his head. Firdauz Paine didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Yatton United. After a rather tough play, Ross on Wye's Joel Tian got a free kick in the 75th minute. Arif Seah received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Firdauz Paine tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Felix Soon in the 81st minute of play forced Yatton United's goalkeeper Hidayat Nair to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hidayat Nair made a fantastic save in the 83rd minute, when Faiz Seng sent off a good shot on target. Felix Soon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hidayat Nair having to interfere. Firdauz Paine showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arif Seah, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. Dale Tioe hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Ross on Wye eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
