Jonathan Chew fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ang Ning having to interfere. When the match clock showed 11 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Danish Nair sped through Archway's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Ang Ning. The supporters of Archway booed when Combe Martian United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Victor Seah didn't get a good kick on the ball. Archway's Danish Chong got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Zak Namasivayam might have been able to make a better finish in the 43rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ang Ning. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Zak Namasivayam ran back to his position shaking his head. Danish Nair received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ang Ning came out and tried to block the shot, but Danish Nair slotted it home off the left post making it 4-0 in the 47th minute.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Shah Choy was the one to do the kick off. When Danish Nair came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the Combe Martian United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Danish Nair couldn't finish the play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jonathan Chew in the 58th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ang Ning prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ang Ning showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wei Xuan Chong, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. Jonathan Chew received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Ang Ning tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jonathan Chew hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Archway's zone, Danish Nair stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ang Ning came out of the goal and Danish Nair tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Danish Nair blasted a shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ang Ning having to make a save. In the 75th minute, Ong Hui hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 76 minutes, Danish Nair managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Combe Martian United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Danish Nair was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Combe Martian United booed when Archway was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ong Hui didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ang Ning stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Danish Nair's shot from short distance in the 87th minute. Danish Nair sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 94 played minutes Archway got a freekick which was hit by Hamir Shyan. Combe Martian United's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
