Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Shah Choy got the match started through his kick off. Khairil Pillai got in the 5th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Ang Ning handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. Khai Lee took the ball and in the 7 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ang Ning. Ang Ning dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. If Afiz Tioe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Didi Chan in the 19th minute of play forced Archway's goalkeeper Ang Ning to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 20th minute Afiz Tioe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tan Hsin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Didi Chan struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. Ang Ning didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Stanmore. Khairil Pillai was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 30th minute. Stanmore's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Hamir Shyan charged in rather forcefully in the 31st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Hamir Shyan the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After having played for 33 minutes, Didi Chan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Stanmore's supporters crossed their fingers, but Didi Chan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Nicholas Singh took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 39th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Tan Hsin. Stanmore's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 45th match minute, Stanmore was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by John Paine to maneuver through the defense. Stanmore's Tan Hsin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Shah Choy in the 47th minute of play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Didi Chan to make the kick off. If Didi Chan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Stanmore's defense didn't have a chance, in the 56th minute, when Shah Choy scored to the left of an out of position Tan Hsin, making the score, 1-2. 66 minutes into the match, Stanmore's goal looked a bit too open when Shah Choy came free, but Tan Hsin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Shah Choy came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the Archway fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Shah Choy couldn't finish the play. Stanmore's Tan Hsin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 75th minute of the match, managed to save Stanmore from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Stanmore's Khairil Pillai got a free kick in the 77th minute. After 90 minutes of play, Archway's Afiz Tioe made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tan Hsin was left in no man's land by his defense there! 95 minutes into the game, Shah Choy recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Tan Hsin. Shah Choy showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-4.
