Dale Teo made in the 6th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Adam Shyan however managed to control. An unexpectedly hard shot by Khai Lee in the 8th minute of play forced Archway's goalkeeper Merlin Teo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 11 minutes into the match, Stanmore's Khai Lee sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Merlin Teo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 14th minute, Khai Lee left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Stanmore fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. 18 minutes into the match, Stanmore's goalkeeper Tan Hsin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Adam Nagasaki. If Adam Nagasaki had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When John Paine fell near the penalty area in the 23rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Stanmore's protests and gave John Paine a yellow card for diving instead. After 23 played minutes Stanmore got a freekick which was hit by John Paine. Stanmore were awarded a corner in the 27th minute after Archway's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. SK Lee took the corner. Stanmore's Noh Butcher was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Merlin Teo in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Merlin Teo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Didi Chan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 32nd match minute, Stanmore was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Khai Lee to maneuver through the defense. Adam Nagasaki sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 38 minutes into the game, Archway's Adam Nagasaki nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tan Hsin made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Stanmore's Didi Chan got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 47 played minutes Archway got a freekick which was hit by Adam Nagasaki. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Adam Nagasaki to strike the kick off in the second half. Archway's Merlin Teo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save Archway from getting a goal against them. Khai Lee's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Merlin Teo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 54th minute of play. Adam Nagasaki received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Tan Hsin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 64 minutes into the game, Archway's Adam Nagasaki nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tan Hsin made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. If Adam Nagasaki had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Adam Shyan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tan Hsin having to interfere. Bineesh Lim hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. Adam Nagasaki hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Adam Shyan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Archway's supporters rose to their feet, but Adam Shyan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tan Hsin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Khairil Pillai was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 88th minute. Stanmore's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. If Adam Nagasaki had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 97th minute John Paine shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Merlin Teo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
