He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Moretonhampstead United reached it. After 19 minutes, Zak Namasivayam mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Combe Martian United and the Moretonhampstead United players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 19th minute, Zak Namasivayam hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Moretonhampstead United booed when Combe Martian United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zak Namasivayam didn't get a good kick on the ball. Wei Xuan Chong sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Danish Nair in the 38th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Johnny Etherington prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Zak Namasivayam fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Johnny Etherington having to interfere. Danish Nair received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Johnny Etherington tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Combe Martian United's Jonathan Chew got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the last second Johnny Etherington throw himself and got hold of the ball when Danish Nair in the 45thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. 48 minutes into the game, Danish Nair recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Johnny Etherington. Danish Nair showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

Wei Xuan Chong received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Johnny Etherington tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Todd Clay got free with Alex Shyan in the 58th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Combe Martian United booed when Moretonhampstead United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Brandon Bartrup didn't get a good kick on the ball. Johnny Etherington made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Danish Nair in the 61st minute of play. After 64 minutes of play, Combe Martian United's Danish Nair made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Johnny Etherington was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 68th minute, Dylon Dalton hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Wei Xuan Chong fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Johnny Etherington having to interfere. In the 74th match minute, Combe Martian United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Faizal Choy to maneuver through the defense. 75 minutes into the match, Moretonhampstead United's Craig Shephard broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. After a defensive mix-up in Moretonhampstead United's zone, Wei Xuan Chong stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Johnny Etherington came out of the goal and Wei Xuan Chong tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 85thth minute of the game Jonathan Chew who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Moretonhampstead United's Johnny Etherington was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience was convinced that Danish Nair's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Johnny Etherington was relentless in the 87th minute of the game. Johnny Etherington made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jonathan Chew in the 88th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Danish Nair in the 92nd minute of play forced Moretonhampstead United's goalkeeper Johnny Etherington to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 94th minute the ball was on its way in behind Moretonhampstead United's goalkeeper Johnny Etherington, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Zak Namasivayam recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The Combe Martian United fans' excitement grew in the 98th match minute when Combe Martian United's Danish Nair looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene.
