Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Daniel Chian made the kick off which started today's match. After having played for 6 minutes, Dale Liang managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Beckermet United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dale Liang was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Beckermet United's Daniel Chian got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 13 minutes, Sean Vijiaratnam managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Beckermet United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sean Vijiaratnam was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 14th minute, Daniel Chian made a precise shot to the right of Azly Tee. Mansfield AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Dale Namasivayam made in the 17th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Mansfield AFC's Alam Abdul. Wei Xuan Chien-Kwan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Wong Lee had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Wei Xuan Chien-Kwan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gabriel Dryburgh charged in rather forcefully in the 25th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gabriel Dryburgh the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a defensive mix-up in Beckermet United's zone, Wei Xuan Chien-Kwan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Merlin Hoe came out of the goal and Wei Xuan Chien-Kwan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Beckermet United's Dale Namasivayam got a free kick in the 37th minute. Azly Tee stood somewhat misplaced when Daniel Chian came free in front of goal and shot 3-0 to the left of him in the 40 minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dale Liang in the 44th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Azly Tee saved Mansfield AFC from getting behind. If Dale Liang had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Wei Xuan Chien-Kwan to make the kick off. Beckermet United's Sean Vijiaratnam got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Wei Xuan Chien-Kwan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Merlin Hoe having to interfere. If Wong Lee had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When the match had gone on for 73 minutes, Wei Xuan Chien-Kwan took a quick shot and it went in 3-1 without a chance for Merlin Hoe to make any attempt to save it. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Daniel Chian in the 77th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Azly Tee prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 79th minute Daniel Chian shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Azly Tee saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Wong Lee sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 85 minutes, Dale Liang mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Beckermet United and the Mansfield AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Beckermet United's Dale Liang got a free kick in the 85th minute. In the 88th minute, Shahiran Politiek hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Merlin Phua's late challenge caught a Beckermet United's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Merlin Phua helped the player get up and apologised. Beckermet United's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
