Wong Devan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Hidayat Teo in the 3rd minute. When Runcorn's Didi Low in the 7th minute got a chance for a shot 7th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Sprint Athletic's goalie prevented a goal. Noh Choo kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. In the 13th minute Noh Choo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alexander Teo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Runcorn's Alexander Teo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aziz Hsin in the 18th minute of play. A collision led to Runcorn getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Faiz Chien-Kwan hit a great ball. In a very dangerous position, a player in Runcorn fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 27th minute. Penalty! In the 29th minute there was a penalty for Sprint Athletic. SK Soon stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Alexander Teo. 1-1. Alexander Teo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aziz Hsin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Faiz Chien-Kwan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Wong Devan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 41st minute, Hidayat Teo fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. After 47 minutes of play, Sprint Athletic's Noh Choo made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Alexander Teo was left in no man's land by his defense there! After the first half Sprint Athletic were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Didi Low made the kick off in the second half. 55 minutes into the match, Hidayat Teo notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Sprint Athletic's Wong Devan. Wong Devan was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The crowd rose to their feet as Aziz Hsin kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Alexander Teo. That made the score 2-3 in the 59 minute of play. Hidayat Teo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Wong Devan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 63rd minute of play. Alexander Teo was a little too slow when Aziz Hsin got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 65th minute. The score was now 2-4. After 68 minutes of play, Sprint Athletic's Noh Choo made it 2-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Alexander Teo was left in no man's land by his defense there! The audience thought a goal was coming when Noh Choo got free with Alexander Teo in the 73rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Noh Choo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Alexander Teo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 84 minutes into the match, Runcorn's goalkeeper Alexander Teo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Noh Choo. Noh Choo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Runcorn's Alexander Teo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 97th minute of the match, managed to save Runcorn from getting a goal against them. If Aziz Hsin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 99th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match was over Sprint Athletic could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Runcorn throughout the match.
