The audience thought a goal was coming when Tan Phua got free with Haziq Seng in the 13th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. John Chong received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Haziq Seng tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Joel Tioe stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ali Hong's shot from short distance in the 17th minute. Paloma's Joel Tioe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sharizan Cho in the 18th minute of play. A collision led to Bridlington getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. John Hongyi hit a great ball. In the 23rd minute Ali Hong shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joel Tioe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Paloma's Joel Tioe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sharizan Cho in the 24th minute of play. Ali Hong scored 0-2 in the 25th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Joel Tioe, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Ali Hong fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joel Tioe having to interfere. Paloma's Joel Tioe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sharizan Cho in the 31st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ali Hong in the 34th minute of play forced Paloma's goalkeeper Joel Tioe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Sharizan Cho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Joel Tioe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sharizan Cho in the 56th minute of the match. With his leg Joel Tioe managed to avoid a goal in the 62ndth minute, when Bridlington's Ali Hong fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 71st match minute, Bridlington was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by John Hongyi to maneuver through the defense. Ali Hong succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-6 in the 97th playminute. Bridlington played a much better game than Paloma and deserved their victory. The Paloma players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
