Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Didi Low started the match with the kick off. Hidayat Teo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Firdauz Lam tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 5thth minute of the game Didi Low who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Croughton FC's Firdauz Lam was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Firdauz Lam stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Didi Low's shot from short distance in the 7th minute. Croughton FC's Mohammad Paine got a good chance for a goal in the 7th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Hidayat Teo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When Mohammad Paine fell near the penalty area in the 15th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Croughton FC's protests and gave Mohammad Paine a yellow card for diving instead. In the 21st minute Didi Low shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Firdauz Lam saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Croughton FC's Mohammad Paine got a free kick in the 25th minute. After having played for 34 minutes, Mohammad Paine managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Croughton FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mohammad Paine was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Bineesh Kang fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alexander Teo having to interfere. Mohammad Paine was shown his second yellow card after 40 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 40th match minute, Croughton FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mohammad Paine to maneuver through the defense. Croughton FC's Firdauz Lam played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Didi Low in the 43rd minute of play.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Wong Wah to make the kick off. Runcorn's Hidayat Teo got a good chance for a goal in the 51st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Didi Low managed to get in a good position for a shot. Runcorn's supporters rose to their feet, but Didi Low was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Firdauz Lam breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a little luck, Croughton FC's Firdauz Lam got control of the ball when Didi Low tried to sneak it across the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Wong Wah during the 57th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 58th minute, Bineesh Kang hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alexander Teo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gara Keng, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Firdauz Lam made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Didi Low in the 77th minute of play. After 80 minutes of play Croughton FC's Wong Wah was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 81st match minute, Croughton FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wong Wah to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Didi Low's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Firdauz Lam was relentless in the 84th minute of the game. Didi Low fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Firdauz Lam having to interfere. In the 96th minute, Gara Keng hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
