Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Mohammad Paine got the match started through his kick off. In the 5th minute John Chong shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Firdauz Lam saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Firdauz Lam made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from John Chong in the 9th minute of play. Firdauz Lam took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tan Phua, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Firdauz Lam showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tan Phua, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. 26 minutes into the game, Paloma's Tan Phua nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Firdauz Lam made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. If Wong Wah had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Gara Keng kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. Tan Phua recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Tan Phua had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tan Phua fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Firdauz Lam having to interfere.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when John Chong stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Firdauz Lam showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from John Chong in the 61st minute of the match. Firdauz Lam showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from John Chong, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. After having played for 66 minutes, Wong Wah managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Croughton FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wong Wah was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rifki Boon charged in rather forcefully in the 67th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rifki Boon the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Paloma getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Rifki Boon hit a great ball. During the 71st minute of the match Rifki Boon completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Rifki Boon a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Rifki Boon hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. Tan Phua received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Firdauz Lam tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 82nd minute, Wong Wah got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Joel Tioe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gara Keng in the 85th minute of play. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Paloma's goalie and right to Wong Wah. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Paloma's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal.
