Golden Boys were awarded a corner in the 13th minute after Kingswood AFC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Zak Hian took the corner. The corner led Golden Boys's Zak Hian to fire away a dangerous shot which Jonathan Hock despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Dale Yeo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Alif Hong tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 18th minute, Felix Yi-Sheng got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Alif Hong was out of position in the 20 minute of play, and Dale Yeo capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Dale Yeo really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Khai Choo, 25 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Bakar Leng kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Felix Yi-Sheng got free with Alif Hong in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After having played for 33 minutes, Dale Yeo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kingswood AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dale Yeo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Alif Hong made a fantastic save in the 34th minute, when Felix Yi-Sheng sent off a good shot on target. 36 minutes into the match, Noh Low notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Kingswood AFC's Jonathan Hock. Jonathan Hock was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a rather tough play, Kingswood AFC's Arif Leng got a free kick in the 43rd minute. Golden Boys were awarded a corner in the 47th minute after Kingswood AFC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Zak Hian took the corner. It was a well-played corner which Ronn Liang managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Dale Yeo made a kick off. Golden Boys's Darren Chien-Kwan got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Khai Hian scored 1-2 in the 59th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jonathan Hock, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 61 minutes, Darryl Tee mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Golden Boys and the Kingswood AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Golden Boys's Darryl Tee got a free kick in the 61st minute. Dale Yeo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Alif Hong tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 73rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Golden Boys's goalkeeper Alif Hong, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some careless play in the Golden Boys defense, Dale Yeo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alif Hong. The Golden Boys fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alif Hong should have stopped the shot. 85 minutes into the match, Golden Boys's goal looked a bit too open when Felix Yi-Sheng came free, but Alif Hong reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Felix Yi-Sheng sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dale Yeo in the 94th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alif Hong prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
