The referee ignored Riseley's protests and gave Darren Keng a yellow card for diving instead. In the 2nd match minute, Riseley was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Darren Keng to maneuver through the defense. When Bridlington's Sharizan Cho in the 4th minute got a chance for a shot 4th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Riseley's goalie prevented a goal. Riseley's Shah Henderson got a good chance for a goal in the 8th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Darren Keng managed to get in a good position for a shot. Riseley's supporters rose to their feet, but Darren Keng was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Haziq Seng breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Sharizan Cho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Shah Henderson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Haziq Seng tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Shah Henderson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Riseley's supporters rose to their feet, but Shah Henderson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Haziq Seng breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 27 minutes into the game, Hidayat Pieng was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Riseley's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Bridlington the free kick. A collision led to Riseley getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Hidayat Pieng hit a great ball. 28 minutes into the match, Bridlington's Mohammad Politiek broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Daniz Seah took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sharizan Cho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 0-1 became the score in the 32nd minute when Ali Hong elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Shah Henderson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Haziq Seng tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 39 played minutes Riseley got a freekick which was hit by Merlin Leng. An unexpectedly hard shot by Darren Keng in the 43rd minute of play forced Bridlington's goalkeeper Haziq Seng to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Daniz Seah showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sharizan Cho in the 47th minute of the match. After the first half Bridlington were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Shah Henderson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Riseley's supporters rose to their feet, but Shah Henderson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Haziq Seng breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 58th minute, Shah Henderson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ali Hong could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 60th minute of the match, but Daniz Seah made a huge save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sharizan Cho in the 61st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Daniz Seah prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Bridlington's Haziq Seng played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Darren Keng in the 68th minute of play. Darren Keng received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Haziq Seng tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mohammad Politiek, 81 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Daniz Seah showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ali Hong, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. A hard shot 86 in the game by Ali Hong from a close distance when the talented Daniz Seah managed to make a qualified save. Riseley's players were relieved. Ali Hong received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Daniz Seah tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 97th match minute, Bridlington was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gara Chai to maneuver through the defense. The Bridlington supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Bridlington would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
