Spectators: 6835 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1835, VIP seats: 0) Dale Seah started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. 3 minutes into the game, Dale Seah recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Wei Xuan Cho. Dale Seah showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. When Launceston's Alam Tan in the 7th minute got a chance for a shot 7th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Stockbridge's goalie prevented a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Amir Chong in the 11th minute of play forced Stockbridge's goalkeeper Felix Liang to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 14 minutes into the match, Launceston's Amir Chong sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Felix Liang narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Felix Liang took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Amir Chong, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Clive Mathews could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 22nd minute of the match, but Wei Xuan Cho made a huge save. In the 24th minute, Alam Tan ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Felix Liang was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. After 29 played minutes Stockbridge got a freekick which was hit by Dale Seah. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Ronn Lim managed to get in a good position for a shot. Launceston's supporters rose to their feet, but Ronn Lim was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Felix Liang breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 32nd minute Alam Tan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Felix Liang saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Amir Chong received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Felix Liang tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 39 minutes, Alam Tan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Launceston's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alam Tan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 42nd minute, Arif Henderson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ong Ning was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 43rd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Alam Tan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Felix Liang having to interfere. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Alam Tan stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Launceston getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Ronn Lim hit a great ball. Clive Mathews fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wei Xuan Cho having to interfere. 61 minutes into the match, Alam Tan dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Felix Liang, 1-3. A collision led to Launceston getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Ong Ning hit a great ball. Faizal Chee took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 72nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Wei Xuan Cho. Launceston's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Amir Chong sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Amir Chong had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Amir Chong could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 97th minute of the match, but Felix Liang made a huge save. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Launceston walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
