If Jonathan Seng had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 12th minute, Sharizan Seah managed to get in a good position for a shot. Frodsham AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Sharizan Seah was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Wei Xuan Cho breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Sharizan Seah recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Frodsham AFC booed when Launceston was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Darryl Chuan didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Launceston's Ronn Lim got a free kick in the 24th minute. Wei Xuan Cho made a fantastic save in the 25th minute, when Jonathan Seng sent off a good shot on target. In the 28th minute Sharizan Seah shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wei Xuan Cho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Darryl Chuan charged in rather forcefully in the 29th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Darryl Chuan the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Frodsham AFC booed when Launceston was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Darryl Chuan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sharizan Seah's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Wei Xuan Cho read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 32nd minute of play. After 37 played minutes Launceston got a freekick which was hit by Afriz Soon. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sharizan Seah in the 42nd minute of play forced Launceston's goalkeeper Wei Xuan Cho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Amir Chong made a kick off. In the 58th minute, Jonathan Seng got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 65 minutes into the match, Launceston's goal looked a bit too open when Jonathan Seng came free, but Wei Xuan Cho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Darryl Chuan got his second yellow card in the match during the 65th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Darryl Chuan kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. 69 minutes had been played when some careless play by Launceston's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Azli Soon was slow to take the kick. During this time Frodsham AFC's players had a chance to rest. In the 71st match minute, Frodsham AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Azli Soon to maneuver through the defense. Frodsham AFC's Didi Paine pulled a muscle in his leg after 74 minutes and couldn't finish the game. 74 minutes into the game, Amir Chong was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Launceston's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Frodsham AFC the free kick. After a rather tough play, Launceston's Amir Chong got a free kick in the 75th minute. After 77 minutes, Shahron Wah mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Frodsham AFC and the Launceston players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 81 minutes of play, Frodsham AFC's Sharizan Seah made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Wei Xuan Cho was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Ronn Lim in the 87th minute of play forced Frodsham AFC's goalkeeper Alif Chong to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 95 minutes, Clive Choo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Launceston's supporters crossed their fingers, but Clive Choo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
