Muhammad Dyce showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adam Lum, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. In the 31st minute, Bakar Yang ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Muhammad Dyce was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Shahron Boon's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Victor Henderson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 38th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adam Lum in the 40th minute of play forced Tadcaster's goalkeeper Muhammad Dyce to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Shahron Boon stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ang Wenyong hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. Adam Lum received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Muhammad Dyce tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of SAFFC booed when Tadcaster was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Shahron Boon didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 87th minute the ball was on its way in behind SAFFC's goalkeeper Victor Henderson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Muhammad Dyce showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Afriz Chai in the 89th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in SAFFC's zone, Azly Hian stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Victor Henderson came out of the goal and Azly Hian tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Tadcaster's Shahron Boon got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. SAFFC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
